Hello,
thank you for reaching out. We appreciate your feedback as it has brought to our attention a usability issue that has caused confusion.
Regarding the question about picture folder destinations, we want to clarify that it is not part of the installation process. It is related to how the gallery view displays itself when there are no photo sources available, which is the case when you start the app for the first time.
To add new photo sources, you can click on the three dots located in the top right corner of the app screen and select "Sources" from the menu. This will display a complete list of all available sources, and you can add new sources by clicking on the plus icon. When you open an empty gallery view, only four common sources will be visible. However, this will make more sense when the app supports more than four sources. Currently, since we only have two sources to choose from, it might be difficult to see.
If you delete all sources using the source management menu, you will see this view asking for your first source again. We designed it this way to give users a quick start instead of requiring them to navigate through deep menus.
We are trying to find a solution that balances ease of use with educating users on how to use the sources menu. Do you have any ideas on how we can improve this? We would appreciate your thoughts and suggestions.
Please let us know if this answer has helped you add additional photo sources. If you have any further questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to us.
Thank you for your time.
Best regards,
Stefan

Hi there,
Thank you for reaching out to us. Based on your message, it seems that you are interested in a feature in an image editing software that can globally optimize images within a selected folder, and specifically, you are looking for a one-click negative to positive edit function and scan/photo converter. We appreciate your interest in our software, and we would be happy to consider your suggestion for this feature.
However, as this post pertains to a different topic, we kindly ask that you create a separate post detailing your feature request. This will allow us to better organize and track your suggestion. If you could also let us know if you are aware of any existing software that already provides this functionality, it would help us to better understand your needs and requirements.
Thank you again for your interest in our software, and we look forward to hearing from you soon.
Best regards,
Stefan
The "Complete list of all available sources" doesn't work. I have several external drives (about 7 or 8) and it only sees 3 of them.
I apolologize that this line was misleading. I wanted to express that under "sources" it shows a complete list of "connected sources". This is everything added so far.
I understand that you want to add a new local folder and the file chooser dialog only shows you part of your external drives.
Do you see anything that those three shown drives have in common and what's different with the other drives?
Hello,
Thank you for getting in touch.
We have been monitoring this issue, and it appears to be a recurring problem within our design. We are now in the process of reevaluating the layout and navigation to make necessary improvements.
Best regards,
Stefan
With the new sidebar the UX came much more clear and we now consider this issues solved.
Please open a new post if it’s still unclear. Thank you!
