You can enable and exit the zoom mode in the enlarged view by double-clicking, however, the current display lacks a zoom level indicator or the ability to set a specific zoom percentage.
To enhance the user experience, it might be beneficial to include dedicated zoom-in and zoom-out buttons in the top right button bar.
Given its widespread usage on mobile devices, I assumed this pattern could prove to be effective for desktop applications too.
And scrolling through the collection doesn't seem to be available?
Yeah, need a scroll bar to go through the photos thumbnails, my scroll button finger is getting sore. Google photos has a good one you can be "inspired by"
We do have scrollbars available, but they feature a minimalist design. Have you had a chance to see them? Perhaps they're not prominent enough?
Which design do you prefer?
Just to clarify, are you referring to the design of Google Photos on the web or the Android app?

Based on your feedback we've released an updated version of the app that includes more visible scrollbars. We value your input and would appreciate any additional feedback you may have.
Que tenga un buen zom y que llegue lejos y que se vea bien seria lo que pediria He probado app de zom y la verdad si llegan bastante lejos, pero no se ve con bastante craridad

Thank you for your feedback.
If I understand correctly, you are requesting a feature that can enlarge photos while maintaining high quality, similar to what Franzis PhotoZoom (https://www.ashampoo.com/loc/photo-zoom) can do. Is that correct?
Regarding the suggestion in this post, the author proposes adding a control to Photos that displays the current zoom level as a percentage value and allows users to set a specific value. This is a relatively minor user interface enhancement compared to developing a complex algorithm for enlarging photos.
If the latter is the feature you would like to see implemented, please feel free to create a separate post suggesting it so that we can evaluate the demand. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us.
With the recent update the app now contains a zoom level indicator.
