Hi,
The current version number is indeed 24.29.59.
Please ensure that the version number displayed in the Ashampoo App matches the number in "About Photo Organizer".
In the past, we've had issues with these being out of sync.
In this case everything works fine for me. I also tested the new move-to-system-trash behavior and smart albums.
What discrepancies do you see?
Kind regards,
Stefan
@stefan Version numbers match.
Does not move to recycle bin and no new smart album
That's strange.
It should move to system recycle bin if you empty or delete from the in-app recycle bin.
This might be confusing, but the in-app recycle bin is in reality just the collection of rejected photos - another smart album if you want to see it that way. If this should confuse people we may rename it to "Rejected" / "Rejected photos", but keep the trash bin symbol. Right now we wanted it to be easy to understand.
Moving to system recycle bin is done by calling system API on Windows & macOS. This only works by deleting from your local disk. If you delete from a network drive it won't show up in the system recycle bin like it doesn't show up there if you delete in Windows explorer.
Where are the photos in question located?
The new smart albums show up named with a long gray dash and are in first position of the album groups "Keywords" and "Locations" - but only if you have photos without tags or locations. It may require a completed synchronization process for them to be created.
@stefan
There was a corruption somewhere. . . I uninstalled and reinstalled it and it seems to have corrected the issue.
So far it looks pretty darn good.
@software
I'm glad to hear that it works now for you. Thank you for the update. :)
