Hi,
The default editor is not the only option, as there is also the "open with default app" command.
I know that Photo Commander allows you to define a large list of possible tools to open the file with. I didn't expect that someone would actually define more than one here.
Unfortunately, the forum software scaled down your screenshot too much, making it blurry for me. Could you take another screenshot of the options you have configured in Photo Commander?
Kind regards,
Stefan
Hi Stefan,
Listed are just the programs I use on a daily basis.
To make it easy here is a Google Drive link to the image:

changed description "One of things I like about “Photo Organizer” is it's focused on organizing and locating images, and not getting bogged done with editing features and hope it remains that way. Though a good image manager needs the option when an image is located to open it in the proper program for the type of editing / adjusting that might be needed. Currently the only option is to open in the default editor which is not always the program that is needed. A right click drop-down open with menu is seriously needed for proper functionality of an image manger. Attached is two screenshots of different types of programs that I might need to call up after locating an image. I would assume many also would have this need.

I thought the main purpose with "Photo Organizer" was to organizer, locate, so to make it easier to export to use, and not as a viewer. Whereas PC 17 has some editing capabilities.
You are right about the apps purpose. It’s all about culling, metadata management (rating, tagging, etc.), finding and sharing.
In my personal use case I have just one editor (Affinity Photo) for all file formats, but different standard apps based on the file format - Canon DPP for my CR2 and Fuji X Raw Studio for my RAF. So I did not felt the need for more editors.
PC17 is not so strong in metadata management. It lacks XMP sidecar support for example. It’s made by another team with a different focus.
Looking at your list I see that you have also an standalone image enhancer included. I understand your use case better now. I sometimes process my images with Neat Image.
You ever want a fun enhancer to play with, you need to try FRANZIS EMOTION projects 2 professional. So much better than version 1.
Thanks for the hint, I will check it out. :)
