I would like to understand your use case better.
Why would you want to rename the files folder by folder?
Is the folder name part of your file name?
What’s the naming pattern you currently use?
My personal pattern is the same we offer as default and the pattern I would recommend everyone. I believe it’s also the pattern that Samsung phones use for naming.
I could imagine that we offer the renaming of selected files through the action bar. This way you could go into a folder, select all photos and rename only them. How does that sound?
